The Institute of Technology, Sligo is a 72-acre campus with almost 6,000 students across core disciplines of Business and Social Sciences, Engineering and Design and Science.
St Angela’s College , a National University of Ireland, Galway College, has over 1,200 students. It provides around 40 programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate and Master’s levels from the core academic departments of Home Economics, Education and Nursing, Health Sciences and Disability Studies.
Sligo College of Further Education is the largest provider of Further Education in the North West, offering a diverse range of courses for Post Leaving Certificate and mature students.
North Connaught College offers QQI Level 5 and Level 6 Post Leaving Certificate Courses and offers VTOS (the Vocational Training Opportunities Scheme). The College has many links with the local community and provides training for many of the local businesses and local authorities. It also provides a comprehensive range of evening classes.
The Mayo Sligo Leitrim ETB is an important Regional Training Centre, training more than 2,200 people every year in a wide range of programmes from Business, Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction to IT, Media, Healthcare and Hospitality & Catering.
