The Border Region Manufacturing Cluster (BORMAC) is an industry led cluster comprising of
manufacturing companies spanning both the North and South of the border region in Ireland.
Tech North West is an alliance of companies working in the technology sector in the northwest of Ireland. Our goal is to promote Sligo-Leitrim as a unique and thriving location for businesses and employees.
The group brings together ICT employers and educators from the Sligo and Leitrim area to run career fairs and networking events, as well as promoting collaboration through hackathons and cross-sectoral initiatives. We focus also on increasing collaboration with local education and training bodies through initiatives such as student placements, tech apprenticeships, mentorship from industry, and study trips to employer organisations and research partnerships.
Sligo is actively building hubs and clusters in a number of industries, including technology, life sciences and engineering.
Sligo’s third level sector develops and delivers bespoke programmes to meet industry needs. Life-long and distance learning opportunities in Sligo help to strengthen our talent pool.
Sligo provides flexible office solutions, affordable development sites and commercial properties, with an excellent broadband network.
Businesses are supported in Sligo. Through the Sligo Economic Forum and Sligo County Council together with the IDA, Enterprise Ireland and other agencies, start-ups and investors benefit from collaboration and business supports.
Sligo has conference hotels and venues able to accommodate small meetings through to larger conferences for up to 950 delegates
